1 Tsehowà tsirų:mą:kha:tą́ rų:masą̀ hemę̀ hą:’á:t erùt.
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 Hą:’á:t erùt akoso:ką̀: sé:k hą:’á:t yakoka:relyès, hą:’á:t okuːsą́ yo:suwà ąkhą́s. Hą:’á:t onįkhą́ rų:maTsehowà ku:wahę́s okuːsąké: ya:mą́.
2 And the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:mawè, "Araku:waka:serą̀sk"; ku:waka:serąyą́.
3 And God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.
4 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:maha:suką̀:, tsiyakaquá:st; hą:’á:t Tsehowà ya:wrų:morą̀s ka:serą́ ąkarą́tsh.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:maha:sunątu:ką́ ątą́, hą:’á:t rų:masu:mnątu:ką́ a:tsų́tsh. Hą:’á:t tinų̀ hą:’á:t kąrą́tsh yakątąyąwá:.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
6 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:mawè, "Karu:yą́ arakomįtùl a:mą́, hą:’á:t ara:ywaka:worą́ a:mą́."
6 And God said, "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters."
7 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:maru:ysą̀, hą:’á:t rų:morą̀s a:mą́ tsitakoru:yųtuyą̀ a:mą́ tsi:wakoru:yųtuyą̀; hą:’á:t ku:wò:sk.
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so.
8 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:maru:ynątu:ką́ hemę̀. Hą:’á:t tinų̀ hą:’á:t kąrą́tsh tho:wá: yakątą̀sk.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
9 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:mawè, "Aratku:wa:mąka:rúk yakoru:yųtuyą̀ mų́n resyǫké:, hą:’á:t kurǫ́:t atshą́ araku:wathathó"; hą:’á:t ku:wò:sk.
9 And God said, "Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear"; and it was so.
10 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:makurǫ:tnątu:ką́ erùt; hą:’á:t taku:wa:mąka:ruką́tsh rų:makurǫ:tnątu:ką́ utuquá; hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:maką̀: tsiku:waquá:st.
10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called the Seas; and God saw that it was good.
11 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:mawè, "Erùt arakò:s we:rę́, we:rę́ tsakį̀s oną́:y, karu:tą́ tsakį̀s rowí yokhąyké:, yoną́:y tsakitsho:tę́ yuselké:, erutkè:"; hą:’á:t ku:wò:sk.
11 And God said, "Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth"; and it was so.
12 Hą:’á:t erùt akosą̀ we:rę́, hą:’á:t we:rę́ tsakį̀s oną́:y yokhąyké:, hą:’á:t karu:tą́ tsakį̀s rowí, yoną́:y tsakitsho:tę́ yuselké:, yokhąyké:; hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:maką̀: tsiku:waquá:st.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind; and God saw that it was good.
13 Hą:’á:t tinų̀ hą:’á:t kąrą́tsh thuri:wá: yakątą̀sk.
13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.
14 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:mawè, "Ka:serą́ arakó:t hemę̀ yokaru:yąké: ątą́ tsi:wakorą́ a:tsų́tsh; hą:’á:t aratyakąsę̀y hą:’á:t aratyaką:nitshą́, hą:’á:t aratyakątą́ hą:’á:t aratyakó:s;
14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years;
15 hą:’á:t aratyakoka:serą́ hemę̀ yokaru:yąké: tsakoha:suyestąyą̀ erùt"; hą:’á:t ku:wò:sk.
15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth"; and it was so.
16 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:masą̀ thó: ka:serą́ quá : ka:serą́ quá tsakotseriyą̀ ątą́, hą:’á:t ka:serą́ ’á tsakotseriyą̀ a:tsų́tsh. Rų:masą̀ equál hą:’á:t.
16 And God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also.
17 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:mitsho:skàt hemę̀ yokaru:yąké: tsakoha:suyestąyą̀ erùt,
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 hą:’á:t tsakotseriyą̀ ątą́ hą:’á:t a:tsų́tsh, hą:’á:t tsi:wakoru:yorą́ ąkarą́tsh. Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:maką̀: tsiku:waquá:st.
18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
19 Hą:’á:t tinų̀ hą:’á:t kąrą́tsh ho:ruwà: yakątą̀sk.
19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
20 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:mawè, "A:mą́ aratakò:s owaną́ tsíl hą:’á:t kuyǫ́: tsiyakoha:hǫ́:, hą:’á:t tsįtą́ tsiyakositįyą̀ erùt o:wuyą̀ hemę̀ yokaru:yąké:."
20 And God said, "Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven."
21 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:masą̀ ’iquo’ą́ quá hą:’á:t í:ts tsíl hą:’á:t kuyǫ́: tsiyakę́, a:mą́ tsiyakį̀s owaną́ yokhąyké:, hą:’á:t í:ts tsįtą́ yokhąyké:; hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:maką̀: tsiku:waquá:st.
21 And God created great whales and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind; and God saw that it was good.
22 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:mamųnèsk, tsakowe’ą́, "Tatshaquá hą:’á:t tatshą:kha:tát, hą:’á:t takohól a:mą́ utuquaké:, hą:’á:t tsįtą́ tasą:kha:tát erutkè:."
22 And God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply on the earth."
23 Hą:’á:t tinų̀ hą:’á:t kąrą́tsh haywá: yakątą̀sk.
23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:mawè, "Erùt arakò:s tsíl hą:’á:t kuyǫ́: yokhąyké: : kháw hą:’á:t resǫ́tsh hą:’á:t tsíl ku:werùt yokhąyké:"; hą:’á:t ku:wò:sk.
24 And God said, "Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth after his kind"; and it was so.
25 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:masą̀ tsíl ku:werùt yokhąyké:, hą:’á:t kháw yokhąyké:, hą:’á:t í:ts resǫ́tsh erutkè: yokhąyké:; hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:maką̀: tsiku:waquá:st.
25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind; and God saw that it was good.
26 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:mawè, "Arasęthà:s mą́n às thayusél; hą:’á:t ararų:matserìts itshù ku:wutuquá, hą:’á:t tsįtą́ ku:wukaru:yą́, hą:’á:t kháw, hą:’á:t erùt hą:’á:t í:ts resǫ́tsh erutkè:."
26 And God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."
27 So Tsehowà rų:masą̀ mą́n às rų:mayusél, tsirų:mayuseną́ rų:maTsehowà į̀s; uquè hą:’á:t wilù: į̀s.
27 So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.
28 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà mųnèsk, hą:’á:t Tsehowà tsiwe’ą́, "Tatshaquá hą:’á:t tatshą:kha:tát, hą:’á:t tatshahól erùt, hą:’á:t tatshatserìts; hą:’á:t tatshatserìts itshù ku:wutuquá, hą:’á:t tsįtą́ ku:wukaru:yą́, hą:’á:t í:ts tsíl hą:’á:t kuyǫ́: tsiyakę́ erutkè:."
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."
29 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:mawè, "Tatshaką́, kuyestès í:ts we:rę́ tsakį̀s oną́:y okuːsąké: ku:werùt, hą:’á:t í:ts karu:tą́ tsakį̀s rowí tsakį̀s oną́:y; aratatshà:s mį́:t.
29 And God said, "Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 Hą:’á:t í:ts tsíl ku:werùt, hą:’á:t í:ts tsįtą́ ku:wukaru:yą́, hą:’á:t í:ts resǫ́tsh erutkè: tsiyakoha:hǫ́:, kheyestès í:ts we:rę́ tsįquú às mį́:t"; hą:’á:t ku:wò:sk.
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat"; and it was so.
31 Hą:’á:t Tsehowà rų:maką̀: í:ts tsirų:maįsą̀tsh, hą:’á:t tatshaką́, ku:wawa:stì etsǫ́. Hą:’á:t tinų̀ hą:’á:t kąrą́tsh sikswá: yakątą̀sk.
31 And God saw every thing that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
