Etymology
From Proto-Lucine *tih₂-, Cognate to Proto-Indo-European tíh₂. Sometimes compared to Proto-Uralic *tinä, Proto-Yukaghir *tət, Proto-Turkic *sẹ, Proto-Mongolic *či, Proto-Tungusic *si, and Proto-Kartvelian *š(w)en-.
