Middle Tevvic (Autonym: चैवैताण्, /t͡ɕɛː.ʋɛː.ˈtɑːɳ/) was a language spoken in northern India, largely around the modern state of Uttarakhand. It is the direct descendant of Ancient Tevvic, though it is not intelligible with it in the slightest.

Morphology
All inflectable terms follow one of three stress patterns, acrostatic (initial stress), mesostatic (stressed ending), or kinetic. kinetic stress originally entailed a moving stress, where it was acrostatic in some forms, but mesostatic in others, this "moving" stress has been leveled out, but the phonological effects remain, as in मंहः॑ (mạháh) but मंगः॑ (mạgáh).
Nominals
Nominals decline based on roughly 4 categories, those being number, case, gender (adjectives), and possessor (nouns). Noun roots may be derived for different genders, often for a semantic change.

Verbs
Verbs have evolved into an entirely agglutinative formation, largely from two main factors, being sound changes and the sheer size of the verbal system, which you will see below.
The various aspects are formed through different endings, though they all share a common pattern.
- perfective: (अ/इ)-ण् (-ṇ)
- progressive: -नण् (-naṇ)
- habitual: -जिण् (-jiṇ)
- causative: -अयण् (-ayaṇ) (earlier -ऐण् (-ēṇ))
The tense endings attach directly to the aspect endings, with the exception of the present and the conditional. The various tense endings are:
- present: Largely unmarked.
- past: -एधण् (-edhaṇ)
- future: -शण् (-śaṇ)
- conditional: formed from the past tense plus the so-called "augment" अ- (a-), a borrowing from Sanskrit, thus अफथण् (aphēthaṇ)
There exists two moods (the conditional being grammatically treated as a tense):
- The indicative, which is the basic form of almost all verbs (though some only exist in the subjunctive)
- The subjunctive, also variously called the optative or the desiderative, is formed by taking the indicative form and shortening the root vowel, thus फैथ् (phēth) > फेथ (phetha)
There are two voices, the (medio)passive being marked with -श् (-ś).
Negation is handled through the prefix तो- (to-).
Person marking seems to have been form both subject and object, with the object being optional if specified otherwise.
